Going Back - A Photographic Flip Book

$35.00

Going Back is a meditation on memory, movement, and return. Between 2017 and 2024, I photographed the same mountain peak each time I crossed Afton Mountain on drives back to my childhood home. Made from the passenger seat with my iPhone, the images hold the blur of motion in the foreground and the shifting qualities of light, weather, and season in the background.

What remains constant is the peak itself, rising just above the ridge line. What changes is everything else — the color of the sky, the passing guardrails, my own state of mind. Together, the photographs form a quiet record of what it means to go back: to landscapes that shape us, to family, to memory.

This flip book invites you to move through the series at your own pace, experiencing the rhythm of return and the beauty in what changes — and what does not.
