I look at the similarities and differences between the land and those who occupy it. I recognize that time and experience shape our reality. And that reality is a matter of perspective. Choices are made that shape identity and determine our footprint in the world.

I use the camera to record my life path. The photograph offers a glimpse into a place constructed from an individual’s point of view and how an image is read changes per spectator. There is no exact way of seeing. As the image replaces the unique experience, they become skewed translations.

Taking a close look at the photo print, I edit with scissors pieces that strike me. I overlap the portions of what remains, reconstructing a new scene. Using the camera, I record the uncertain, capturing new opportunities for interpretation
