I look at the similarities and differences of the land and those who occupy it. I recognize that time and experience shape our reality. And that reality is a matter of perspective. Choices are made that shape identity and determine our footprint in the world.

I use the camera to record my life path. The photograph offers a glimpse into a place constructed by an individual’s point of view, how an image is read changes per spectator. There is no exact way of seeing. As the image replaces the unique experience, the object becomes a skewed translation to ponder.

Taking a close look at the print, I edit pieces that strike me. Examining what remains I overlap portions of the photograph reconstructing a new scene. Using the camera, I record the uncertain, capturing new opportunities for interpretation
