This hands-on workshop explores how ISO, Aperture and Shutter work together to create an exposure. Through compositional exercises you will learn the creative tools of the camera. Still Life in Studio
Gain more control of your creativity. This workshop is designed to help you gain control of focus and depth-of-field along with an understanding of focal length. Through still life exercises, we will work with the aperture, focus and studio lighting techniques. Working with Motion
Let’s talk about speed; a photograph is captured in a fraction of a second. What happens when we slow down or speed up that fraction? Through motion exercises, we will work to better understand the speed of your shutter. You should have a basic understanding of the buttons, menus, and symbols of your camera plus the desire to move beyond program mode. Bring your camera, manual, charged batteries and media cards. I want you to create photographs that are pleasing to the eye.
For over 20 years I have studied and worked in photography. Professionally I work with Canon cameras, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I teach over 20 students a semester using varying camera types. I am happy to help you understand your camera, improve your vision, critique your photographs, or discuss your post-processing.
Hour and half minimum $120
Additional time $20/15 minutes
